My name is RJ Wilson, and I was born and raised in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. I am currently a second-year student studying Journalism with an emphasis in Sports Media at the University of Mississippi. My journey began five years ago, and what started as something for fun quickly became something I knew I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Through countless photo shoots and games, I have excelled not only in my camera skills but also in my ability to anticipate and capture the emotional moments that define competition. To me, sports photography is more than action shots, it’s about freezing emotion, telling stories, and preserving the intensity of a single moment in time that might otherwise pass unnoticed.  

My goal with every photograph is to create images that resonate beyond the game itself, and to show those defining moments of raw emotion that remind us why we love sports. Whether it’s the determination in an athlete’s eyes, the celebration of a team victory, or the emotion of defeat, I strive to capture those life-changing moments.
